The Great Commission 4 Mile Race

July 4, 2016 marks the 6th year of the Great Commission 4 Miler.  This 4 mile walk/run  helps raise funds to spread the Good News from here in Hazlehurst, Mississippi to the ends of the earth.  The race begins and ends here at First Baptist in the heart of downtown Hazlehurst.  The course takes you through our lovely community, past some of our most treasured landmarks.  The journey takes you around scenic Lake Hazle, by the historic Copiah County Courthouse, to the brick streets and train depot, as much more.  The view is spectacular and the race is invigorating.  Awards are given to the top runners and walkers in multiple categories.  Race day will begin with packet pick-up and race day registration at First Baptist at 6:30 a.m. July 4th.  The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and the course will close at 9:00 a.m.
